The Challenge
Ramathra Fort is a 17th century heritage fort in Rajasthan where people can come and stay. The same family still lives in it and runs it.
Its old website was very old. The UI was poor and inconsistent, and the content was brief, so it did little to show the fort to visitors or to people searching for it.
Our Approach
We trimmed the old content down and gave the site a more refined design. It now has separate pages for about, accommodation, dining, experiences, activities, amenities, destinations, gallery, blog and contact.
The accommodation pages cover each room type, including the luxury tents, deluxe rooms and luxury suites, each with a Check availability button. An Enquire button stays in the header on every page.
The gallery shows the fort, the hotel rooms and the wildlife sanctuary in a clean layout. The activities page covers eight activities in depth, from boating at sunset on the Kalisil dam and bird watching to a village trail, a wilderness drive, a night safari and day trips to Karauli and Ranthambore.
We integrated a CMS so the owner can change the site's images and add a new room later without a developer. We built every feature with security in mind.
The Results
Visitors and people searching for the fort now find a detailed site with the rooms, dining, activities and gallery each on their own page. The owner keeps the images and rooms up to date through the CMS.
